This Year For Christmas

So this year, Christmas came out of nowhere. It was like, summer camp....then Christmas. Where does the time go?!?
Even though Christmas came quick this year, I still managed to get in the "Christmas Spirit". Nevertheless, this question has been on my mind lately... What is the "Christmas Spirit" anyway? Is it the spirit of giving? Being thankful for Jesus' birth? Humming Christmas carols? An annual event for cranky people to be nice?
If the"Christmas Spirit" is the spirit of giving...shouldn't we always have it? Not just around Christmas? And if it's being thankful for Jesus' birth, we need to be thankful more than just once or twice a year, around the holidays. If it's humming Christmas carols...I do that no matter what time of year it is! And if it's an annual event for cranky people to be nice....Then "Christmas Spirit" should be "Daily Spirit".
I'm thinking that "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" should overflow to year-round, all the time. We should be giving and thankful all the time! We should spend more time with loved ones...this could be the last holiday you get to see them. No one wants to think about that, but it's just the truth. Family, thankfulness and giving...that's the "Christmas Spirit" that should be year-round.
That's all for now!:)
